A 21-member delegation from the Opposition grand alliance — I.N.D.I.A — on Saturday arrived in Imphal as part of a two-day visit to violence-hit Manipur.

Notably, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of top opposition leaders to stitch a grand alliance against the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The meeting will be held in Patna on June 23.
BJP's Bihar president Samrat Chaudhary on Wednesday said Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting the state and will address a public rally in Munger on June 29.
Rastriya Lok Janta Dal (RLJD) president Upendra Kushwaha met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) office in the national capital on Thursday evening.
They said that the government had recently introduced pension reforms that were not acceptable to them. They said the 35 per cent deduction in pension of government employees was an injustice. They added that the decision was not acceptable to government employees.

Badruddin Ajmal on Friday welcomed the all-India grand alliance being formed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and expressed his hope that the alliance will succeed in Assam.
