The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned hearing on the Telangana government's plea against Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for keeping the bills pending on account of giving assent.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday sought status report of the alleged Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) paper leak case from the top officials of the state.
A day after the Telangana government approached the Supreme Court seeking direction to State Governor to approve the pending bills, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan told Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari that Raj Bhavan is nearer than Delhi.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao-led Telangana government has moved the Supreme Court against the state Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for not giving assent to Bills despite clearance by the legislature.
While talking to the mediapersons, Soundarajan said, "It's painful to see a PG medical student in a critical situation. She had complained of ragging, it is a sensitive issue. A thorough probe should be conducted."
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Kaushik Reddy made the remark while criticising Governor Soundarajaran for not signing bills that were passed in the Assembly last September 2022.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for not attending the Republic Day celebrations at Raj Bhavan and said that the state government "undermined" the event.
