Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President Narayanan Thirupathy on Thursday said that by dismissing DMK leader Senthil Balaji from the State Council of Ministers, Governor RN Ravi has morally taken the right decision.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday hit out at Governor RN Ravi over the dismissal of jailed minister Senthil Balaji, saying he does not have the right to do so and his government will proceed legally in the matter.
BJP state chief met Governor RN Ravi and requested him to dismiss ministers, Senthil Balaji and Senji Masthan, from the cabinet using his special powers.
BJP state chief Annamalai said that a woman delegation would meet Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and urge him to use his special powers to dismiss two ministers facing corruption allegations.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Wednesday revoked the suspension of party leader Shivaji Krishnamoorthy, months after he was suspended for his alleged derogatory comments against Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi made in January this year.
"Chief minister recommended the governor of Tamil Nadu to induct Raja in the council of ministers. The governor has approved the recommendation," the communication from Raj Bhavan said on Tuesday.
Reacting to Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi's comments, chief minister MK Stalin said that Dravidian ideology is not an expired ideology but it brought an end to Sanatana Dharma and caste discrimination, adding that only Dravidam has the power to defeat the Aryan ideology.

A delegation of Tamil Nadu BJP leaders will meet Governor RN Ravi Avargal on Sunday, requesting an independent forensic audit of the audio tape of the State Finance Minister on alleged corruption charges.
