A goods train carrying iron roads from Bellary in Karnataka derailed near the Kanchipuram Old Railway Station in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday evening, officials said.
Four wagons and a brake van of a goods train derailed while it was traversing through the Panvel-Kalamboli section in Maharashtra on Saturday, official sources said.
According to officials, the incident took place near the Akaltara yard section under the Bilaspur division of the South East Central Railway (SECR) Zone in the Janjgir–Champa district.
"Train no. BXR Spl (LD-42 BCN+01 BV); EP no. 31823, dashed with a road vehicle (tractor trolley) and got derailed by one wagon with four wheels first from train engine at LC Gate no. 27," Agra division of North Central Railway stated.
