The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has set the imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's intra-party election case for hearing on June 6, reported ARY News.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Barrister Gohar and Omar Ayub and party spokesperson Raoof Hasan regarding the "misuse" of incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan's X account for disseminating incendiary content against state institutions,
"Sometimes things are overdone. In the post, the 1971 situation was compared only in the context of the political situation," remarked Barrister Gohar during an interview.
The ECP has issued a notice to the Imran Khan-founded party and summoned PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Raoof Hasan, who was the election commissioner in the intra-party polls held on May 30.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, while speaking to the media outside the office, said that the CDA did not have any permit for the operation, adding that they did not even send any notice during the last two years.
In a statement, PTI spokesperson said the Supreme Court should issue a contempt notice to Sanaullah. The party spokesperson said, "[The] Party, which has come to power through a deal, has been suggesting judges make a deal."
