During the probe, it was revealed that the apprehended persons were involved in money laundering with Bangladeshi businessmen via cash transactions and payments through suspected bogus Indian Bank accounts, the DIG Partha added.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) re-arrested four suspected 'Jihadis' from Assam's Goalpara and Bongaigaon district who were granted bail by the court a few days back.
The state police have seized a large quantity of cough syrup bottles worth around Rs 25 lakh in Assam's Goalpara district. The Police also arrested three persons in connection with this seizure, said Assam police.
