Crisis-hit Go First Airlines on Tuesday informed that its scheduled flight operations will remain cancelled till June 4, adding that a full refund will be issued to the passengers.
The official media account of Go First Airlines took to Twitter and said, "Due to operational reasons, Go First flights until May 30, 2023, are cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday advised Go First airline to submit a comprehensive restructuring plan for a sustainable revival of operations.
The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Monday upheld the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) order which had admitted Go First Airlines' voluntary plea for insolvency
"Go First's allegations that Pratt & Whitney is responsible for its financial condition are without merit. Pratt & Whitney will vigorously defend itself against Go's claims, and is pursuing its own legal recourse," Pratt & Whitney Spokesperson told ANI.
Go First CEO Kaushik Khona met DGCA officials right after the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in its judgement on Wednesday admitted the plea of Go First Airlines for insolvency proceedings.
Go First Airline Chief Executive Officer Kaushik Khona on Wednesday said the airline was grateful for the entire process of NCLT and noted that this is in line with the spirit of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC)
Go First Chief Executive Officer Kaushik Khona said after NCLT decision, "This is a historic ruling as an application of insolvency has been admitted so fast. The order prevents a viable airline from becoming an unviable one. The purpose of IBC has always been revival."
"We are reserving the order," said the NCLT two-judge bench of the Delhi office, headed by Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, and a technical member LN Gupta.
