Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi on Thursday raised alarm over the refusal of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to comply with orders aimed at improving coordination between the National Capital Civil Services Authority (NCCSA) and various departments of the Delhi government.
The Special Judge MK Nagpal said, this application filed on behalf of accused Arun Ramachandran Pillai seeking his interim bail on medical grounds is held to be devoid of any merits and the same is being dismissed.
The bench of Justice Satish Chander Sharma and Justice Saurabh Benrajee in an order passed on August 8, 2023, sought a status report of GNCTD and said, "status report be filed positively within two weeks in respect of action taken in the matter by the Delhi Police as well as by the Education

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday wrote a letter to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi expressing gratitude for their party support in rejecting and voting against the GNCTD (Amendment) Bill, 2023.
"RLD Chief Jayant Chaudhry could not go to Rajya Sabha on Monday as he had to attend his wife's operation. Rashtriya Lok Dal is with the I.N.D.I.A alliance. He wanted to vote but could not reach," party spokesperson said.

The National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023, which was passed by the Lok Sabha last week, replaces an ordinance promulgated by the Centre for handling the transfers and postings of officials in the Delhi government.
Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that the bill on Delhi services to replace ordinance does not violate the judgement of Supreme Court and rejected allegations that the bill is unconstiutional.
Rajya Sabha MP and former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi on Monday said that the bill to replace ordinance for control of services in Delhi is “perfectly, legitimately valid” and that if any member disagrees, his conscience must be left free.
"We are very clear that we will oppose it as it is anti-federalism, anti-constitutional and anti-democratic. Whoever is supporting it, should know that today it is happening in Delhi which is a Union Territory, tomorrow it will happen in your state', said Shiv Sena MP Chaturvedi.
