Addressing an audience of international delegates and global leaders, Sitharaman highlighted the critical issues facing developing economies and proposed collaborative strategies to bridge the financing gap essential for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Speaking on strengthening economic resilience, Jaishankar said the experience of the pandemic, conflicts and climate events have underscored the need for reliable and resilient supply chains.
"This compact will be inspired by development journeys decided by Global South nations. It will be human-centric, multi-dimensional for development, and will take forward the multi-sectoral approach," PM Modi said.
Highlighting the significant role of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday stated that DPI's contribution to inclusive development is no less than a revolution.
The Prime Minister highlighted how India has shared its experience and progress with partner countries which has boosted cooperation between them in the field of infrastructure, digital and energy connectivity.
"Terrorism, extremism and separatism have become deep dangers for our societies. Technology divide and other economic and social challenges from technology is coming to the fore," the Prime Minister said.
The summit envisages bringing together countries of the Global South to share their perspectives and priorities on a common platform across a whole range of issues
