The negligence of the administration of Gilgit-Baltistan over the kidnapping case of an 11-year-old girl Falak Noor has given rise to aggression amongst the locals of Sultanabad.
While speaking at the ongoing 55th United Nations Human Rights Council Session, the UKPNP leader expressed concerns about the grim human rights situation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB).

Jamil Maqsood, the secretary of foreign affairs for the United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP) highlighted the challenges faced by the people of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit Baltistan during the ongoing 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
In a video statement, a political leader, Kazim Maisam stated, "If you are not able to help the people of GB, then rest assured of a huge disaster. And, none of us political representatives will be able to control or channel the disaster that will be born from the anger of the people."
Kashmiri emphasised that the rules of business in GB disproportionately favour Pakistan, neglecting the basic needs and rights of the local population. He also raised concerns about the severe environmental impact of the CPEC, stating that it has caused irreparable harm to the region.
