Days after an under-construction bridge over the Ganga river collapsed like a house of cards in Bihar's Bhagalpur, the Deputy Development Commissioner of the district Kumar Anurag on Tuesday said that no casualties have been reported due to the incident.
The incident occurred on the premises of the DEO office in the district while he was going somewhere in his car. A video of the incident also came to fore in which the group of people could be seen stopping his car and throwing ink on him.
"In a case registered at Sarai Akeel police station, accused Abdul Kavi (aide of late mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed) was taken on police remand for 36 hours," Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, Superintendent of Police (SP) said.
