Two members of the infamous inter-state 'Thak Thak' gang were arrested on Friday night following an encounter with police at Sector-129 in Uttar Pradesh's Noida.
Assam police busted a gang and arrested six people, including two bank officials, who were involved in an illegal exchange of old Rs 2000 denomination notes in Karimganj district on Friday.
According to IMD, East Uttar Pradesh experienced widespread severe heat, while parts of Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, south Uttarakhand, and north Odisha faced heatwave to severe heatwave conditions.
The police also recovered a total of 41 mobile phones, 19 laptops, 5 Mac mini, 1 iPad, national and international SIM cards, 2 pendrives, 3 memory cards, other communication devices, silver bars and international currency of various countries from the spot.
Delhi Police have busted a gang involved in issuing fake caste certificates (ST, SC and OBC) to applicants from non-reserved categories. Four persons have been arrested, including a Tehsildar from Delhi Cantt, Department of Revenue and Government of NCT of Delhi.
The arrested accused identified as Vijay, a resident of Memandpur, SAS Nagar, had facilitated the escape of Gangster Deepak Tinu in 2017. The arrested accused has a criminal background with several heinous crime cases registered against him in Punjab and Haryana.
"In a major breakthrough, Anti Gangster Task Force (#AGTF) has been successful in arresting Vijay, a resident of #Memandpur, SAS Nagar, an operative of jailed Gangster Deepak Tinu, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi & Foreign-based Terrorist Goldy Brar Gang," the Punjab DGP said.
