Three out of four persons, accused in the rape and murder case of a 19-year-old Dalit girl in Hathras, were released from the Aligarh district jail on Friday, a day after they were acquitted by a special court in Uttar Pradesh.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday filed the 935 pages chargesheet probing a gang rape case against former Andaman and Nicobar Islands chief secretary Jitendra Narain and three other accused.
The two accused have been identified as Pawan and Vinod, the latter of whom was one of three accused in the Chhawla rape case, who was acquitted by the Supreme Court.
