Day 1 of the festival saw celebrities visiting temples and Lord Ganesha pandals in the city to offer their prayers. Lovebirds Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani were spotted visiting ace Manish Malhotra's residence to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi together.
He added, “We used to celebrate in the building when I was in school, so it seemed like a party in those days. Now we have started understanding the tradition and we are more eco-friendly.”
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Israeli ambassador to India, Naor Gilon visited Maharashtra House and had a delightful exploration of state’s cuisine ranging from Lord Ganesha’s favourite ‘Modak’ to the street favourite ‘Vada Pav’.
CM Chouhan along with his family reached a market located near Platinum Plaza here in Bhopal to get the idol of Lord Ganesha. After that, he was seen bringing the idol home along with the family.
