Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Friday criticised Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for her remarks pertaining to President Droupadi Murmu's address to the joint sitting of two Houses of Parliament and said such remarks reflect poorly on the opposition party's leadership.
While reacting to President Murmu's address to the joint session of the Parliament, Sonia Gandhi told reporters, "The President was getting very tired by the end...She could hardly speak, poor thing."
The Rashtrapati Bhavan also clarified that President Droupadi Murmu was "not tired at any point", adding that President believes speaking up for the marginalized communities, for women and farmers can "never be tiring".
