The incident is said to have occurred around 5 pm on Sunday. The man who died was identified as Ramdavan. On getting the information about the incident, the team of forest department rushed to the spot and sent the body for the post mortem.
The University of Bangalore issued a circular on Thursday warning its staff and students living on the campus to restrict their movement at night amid the sighting of a leopard in the campus.
A joint team of Assam Rifles, state police and forest department have destroyed four lakh Opium Poppy plants which were planted in four hectares of forest land in Manipur's Noney district, the forces said on Tuesday.
"A police team immediately reached the spot and rounded up a few people carrying illegal mining activity. Police seized the truck. The situation is under control," Suresh Sankhla CO City, Dholpur told ANI.
"Seven teams have been working in the rescue operation and have been deployed at the spot since yesterday night," said District/Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Gautam Buddha Nagar, Pramod Srivastava.
