As many as 52 students from the Dr. BR Ambedkar Gurukulam school based in Andhra Pradesh's Ambedkar Konaseema district were hospitalised due to food poisoning on Monday, an official said.
Following their discomfort, they were rushed to the Baghpat district hospital. An official mentioned that after receiving initial medical aid, some individuals were discharged, while others remained under medical observation.
The minister also said that an inquiry committee was formed on Saturday after as many as 20 students of the Government Meritorious School at Ghabdan in Sangrur district were hospitalised at the civil hospital following suspected food poisoning.
The incident was reported from Tehwara of Katra police station area, in the district. The deceased have been identified as 7-year-old Soni Kumari and 36-year-old Ramprasad Sahni.
The students are around 18 to 25 years old and they had food in the mess of the institute. They are undergoing treatment at a government hospital in the district and are said to be in stable condition.

The school is situated in Rampur Chhapar area in the district. The student started suffering stomach ache and vomiting after having dinner on Monday night. Soon after that the school staff along with local people and police sent these students to the hospital.
