According to witnesses, people flocked to the designated health centre to receive free flour under a government scheme and went on a rampage due to the "delayed and unjust distribution."
The protesters urged the government and district administration to take action against the accused involved in the misappropriation and unjust distribution of free flour to the people.
Several women showed up to take part in the demonstration held at Uppal Chowk, carrying signs and banners, and shouting anti-government and pro-party leadership chants.
Talking to ANI, Minister Anil said, "At present, the state is getting 14.25 lakh flour and rice every year, whereas the state needs about 16.5 metric tonnes. This has resulted in its shortage for some time now."
