In the wake of devastating rains and havoc in Himachal Pradesh, the Disaster Management Authority on Saturday stated that so far, a loss of Rs 5077.41 crore has been estimated in the state.
Lahore authorities have restricted citizens from swimming in Ravi River and canals, while also advising children against “playing” on the banks, for a week amid rising water levels and reports of flooding in various nearby villages due to overflowing streams, Dawn reported.
"Based on the requisition of the District administration, one Mi-17 V5 helicopter is being inducted from Nagpur to evacuate 40 people stranded due to floods in Yuvatmal district," said Wing commander (Wg Cd) Ratnakar Singh, Defence PRO Nagpur.
According to authorities, 10,570 people nationwide had to leave their homes because of rain damage. In addition, Yonhap reported that 628 public buildings and 317 other private properties were damaged by downpours, including 146 roads that collapsed or were washed away and 139 flooded homes.
As the water level of Yamuna river in Delhi breached danger lever mark of 205.33 meters, the flood-affected people on Saturday took shelter in relief camps, across the capital.
According to officials, 1441 villages have been affected by the flood till 8 am on July 21. A total of 155 relief camps are running in the state in which 4560 people are staying.
“The popularity of PM Narendra Modi is so great that those (opposition parties) who used to fight each other in different states are now becoming friends in Delhi. They are doing this because if PM Modi stays, then those who committed black deeds and corruption will not be spared at any cost
According to the plea, around 25,000 people were affected directly or indirectly by the flood and their livestock are living in extreme conditions at the relief camps without proper sanitation facilities and food.
