Flood-like situation in Uttarakhand's Rishikesh due to incessant rains and the water level of Ganga is above the danger level, informed the officials on Monday.
IMD Shimla issued the forecast at 3:00 PM today and said, "In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of moderate rain in Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Una, Kinnaur, Lahaul, Spiti and heavy to very heavy rain at one or two places."
Due to heavy rain, a flood-like situation continued to prevail in The Balh Valley of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Many tourists are stranded due to the situation, said officials.
Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Satyabrata Sahu, who is closely monitoring the situation through State Emergency Operation Center on Thursday said that scores of people were evacuated and sheltered in safe places following the heavy rain and flood-like situation in the state.
Yamuna's water level in Delhi dropped below the danger mark on Saturday, and was recorded at 205.32 metres at 12 noon.Notably, the danger mark of the Yamuna River is 205.33 meters.
As Balochistan continues to receive heavy rainfall and faces a flood-like situation, multiple roads, including a part of the Quetta-Sukkur N-65 Highway, remained blocked on Friday, according to Dawn.
