Even as parts of Delhi still continue to grapple with a flood-like situation due to swollen Yamuna, rain lashed several parts of the national capital on Sunday evening.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and enquired about the flood-like situation occurring in various parts of the state due to recent heavy rainfall.
The overflowing river water damaged at least eight more houses and four commercial properties while the current swept away four motorcycles and several farm animals, among other possessions.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert and predicted heavy rainfall in eight districts of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, said an official.
"From Chhijarsi to Ecotech, water entered the houses in three low-lying areas. Poeple were evacuated from the houses. However, the river has not crossed the danger mark anywhere yet", said Suresh Rao A. Kulkarni, Additional Police Commissioner.
