In the midst of a horrific train crash in Odisha, the Ministry of Civil Aviation on Saturday advised airline companies to keep an eye on the unusual surge in fares of flights, coming to and from Bhubaneswar.
"We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till June 7, 2023, have been cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations. A full refund will be issued to the original mode of payment shortly. We acknowledge the flight
The maiden flight to Silchar, a key town in the state which is about over 300 kilometres away from the capital city, had a total of 63 passengers against its capacity of 72.

Crisis-hit Go First Airlines on Tuesday informed that its scheduled flight operations will remain cancelled till June 4, adding that a full refund will be issued to the passengers.
The official media account of Go First Airlines took to Twitter and said, "Due to operational reasons, Go First flights until May 30, 2023, are cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
In a note posted on Twitter on Friday, the airline said, "We regret to inform that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till May 28, 2023, have been cancelled. We apologise for the convenience caused by the flight cancellations."
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday advised Go First airline to submit a comprehensive restructuring plan for a sustainable revival of operations.
