The Akasa flight, which was diverted to the Mumbai airport, landed in the early hours of today after some 40 minutes following takeoff from the Pune airport, the airlines said in a statement today.
"Indigo flight 6E 2433 to Delhi, three minutes after departure from Patna airport reported one engine inoperative. The aircraft landed safely at 0911 hours. All operations are normal at the airport," the airport director said.
Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Rameswar Teli, and two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs Prasanta Phukan and Terash Gowalla were also on board flight 6E2652 when it made an emergency landing at Guwahati airport.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has confirmed that IndiGo Flight 6E897 had taken off from Bengaluru for Varanasi but made an emergency landing at 6:15 am after diverting to Shamshadabad airport.
An emergency landing was made at Gannavaram Airport due to a technical fault shortly after the take-off. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy was scheduled to leave for New Delhi on a special flight from Gannavaram Airport. The pilot noticed a technical error in the plane 10 minutes after the takeoff.
Taking to Twitter, the Russian embassy said, "According to available information, the plane made an emergency landing in Uzbekistan after a report of an alleged bomb scare. The aircraft is being inspected, the airline is preparing accommodations for the passengers in hotels."
"Delhi-Paris flight AI-143 return back to the bay at Delhi airport after the aircraft detected snag (flap issues) in the aircraft. The flight was landed safely at the airport," said Air India.
