Social media posts highlighted the lack of communication and poor management by Air India staff, with many passengers expressing outrage over the absence of updates on flight statuses and boarding gates.
With the 15th edition of Aero India scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from February 10 to 14, Kempegowda International Airport has announced temporary flight disruptions between February 5 and 14 due to airspace restrictions.
Several flights operating from Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport have been cancelled or diverted due to adverse weather conditions in Chennai and Tirupati caused by Cyclone Fengal.

Heavy rainfall in Bengaluru on Monday night led to flight disruptions at Kempegowda International Airport. More than 20 were flights delayed and 4 flights were diverted to Chennai, an official said.

"The reason for this outage has been identified and updates have been released to resolve the issue. CERT is issuing a technical advisory. NIC network is not affected," said Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, in an X post.
Airlines in India on Friday reported that its systems across the network are impacted by an ongoing outage in Microsoft Azure. Flyers are advised to reach out to their respective airlines for information on the flights.
"Air India Express is making every possible effort to minimize the inconvenience caused to our guests by this unexpected situation. We will be operating 292 flights today. We have mobilised all resources and Air India will support us by operating on 20 of our routes", said the spokesperson.
