Another five people died in Assam in the last 24 hours on Wednesday, taking the number of flood-related deaths in the state in this year's flood to 84, Disaster Reporting and Information Management System Assam reported.
"The policemen of Nagaur district were going to Jhunjhnu for the Prime Minister's duty. It was around 5:30 to 6 in the morning. They had an accident with a truck in which five people died on the spot and two were injured, to whom we immediately referred to the nearest hospital. SP Nagaur
District Administration said that five people died in Barwa Sagar which comes under Mehnagar police station and in another similar incident one person died in the Maharajganj area of the district.
Twenty-five people died and 8 were injured after a bus travelling from Maharashtra's Yavatmal to Pune caught fire in Buldhana on the Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway.
