Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday said that his government has the political will to implement five guarantees that were promised to the people in the state by Congress.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said that Karnataka is the first state to introduce the concept of Universal Basic Income through five guarantee schemes to promote economic dynamism adding that this is the 'Karnataka Development Model' taking a dig at the opposition's allegations.
"Our five guarantees transcend caste and religion. The poor and the middle class of all sections of society are in dire straits. We are fulfilling these to alleviate their suffering," Siddaramaiah added.
The Chief Minister said that five guarantees are already being implemented as announced by the government, and more grants will be allotted to minorities starting next year, said the CM office.
