The fire caused no casualties and the crew members were transferred to another fishing vessel. The damaged boat and crew were escorted to Upada village near Kakinada.
The Indian Coast Guard provided towing assistance to a fishing boat that was adrift 50 nautical miles southwest of Minicoy Island in Lakshadweep since Thursday due to an engine breakdown.

One of two men missing at sea for nearly two weeks was found alive by a Canadian fishing boat in a life raft in Canadian waters, approximately 70 miles northwest of Cape Flattery, Washington, reported CNN.
