After a massive fire erupted at an ONGC gas well in Irusumanda village of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district on Monday, arrangements are being made to divert water from the Gudavalli canal to assist firefighting efforts as a part of the emergency operations.
Multiple fire brigade vehicles were rushed to the spot late Wednesday night, and the blaze was brought under control after sustained firefighting efforts.
Three fire tenders immediately reached the spot soon after receiving the information. The firefighting teams are working to extinguish the blaze and bring the situation under control.
While no casualties have been reported till now, firefighting operations are currently underway, with atleast 6 fire tenders on the spot. More information is awaited.
