At least 50 teams of the fire department were engaged to control the blaze, which broke out on Friday, officials said, adding that a team each from State Disaster Response Force and National Disaster Response Force were also pressed into service to douse the flames.

The accused, identified as Shahrukh Saifi was nabbed from Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district on Tuesday night based on a sketch released by the Kerala Police.
The Chinese national, identified as Li Shing Lee, was also booked under the charges of carrying a pistol and cartridges without a license and the Foreigners Act for failing to produce travel documents.
