President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday expressed her condolences after seven newborns lost their lives in fire at New Born Baby Care Hospital in Delhi's Vivek Vihar.
According to the Delhi Fire Department, a total of 12 children were rescued, out of which six have died, one is on the ventilator and five are admitted to the hospital.
"I express my deepest condolences on the loss of life in the fierce fire in Rajkot. My deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragedy," Jaishankar said in a post on 'X'.
The head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to investigate the Rajkot fire tragedy case on Sunday said that a detailed probe will be conducted and responsible persons will be identified.
Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said that 30 ICU beds have been prepared in AIIMS Rajkot to provide treatment to the people injured in the Rajkot fire tragedy which claimed 27 lives.
Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi in the early hours of Sunday took stock of the area where a massive fire broke out inside a gaming zone and said that one person is still missing after the tragic incident.
Rajkot Police Commissioner, Raju Bhargava shared the development on the matter and said, "The police action is underway. The owner and the manager of the TRP game zone have been taken to the police station for interrogation."
