At least 50 teams of the fire department were engaged to control the blaze, which broke out on Friday, officials said, adding that a team each from State Disaster Response Force and National Disaster Response Force were also pressed into service to douse the flames.
On getting the information about the incident, around half a dozen fire brigades rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. No casualties were reported, however, goods of approximately Rs 40 lakh were burned in the incident.
The fire broke out at Sohail Hotel near Nalgonda X Road under Chaderghat police station in Hyderabad. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and put the fire under control. A person died due to a high density of smoke after he was stuck and could not be rescued.
Mumbai Fire Service said the fire erupted Kherwadi police station in Bandra (E) area in which a policeman was critically injured. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and put the fire under control.
The fire broke out in the slums of Bagracote area of the city. Six fire tenders rushed to the spot to put the fire under control. A firefighter was injured during the operation. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Howrah (West Bengal) [India], October 4 (ANI): A fire, which broke out in a Howrah garage on Tuesday, has been brought under control, officials said, adding that there were no casualties in the incident.
