A day after a fire at the TRP Gaming Zone in Rajkot killed 27 people, including children, Gujarat Police have booked six people, including its owner and the manager, for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to the next of kin of each deceased in the fire tragedy at a hospital in Delhi, in which at least seven new-borns were killed.
"I express my deepest condolences on the loss of life in the fierce fire in Rajkot. My deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragedy," Jaishankar said in a post on 'X'.
