The massive fire that broke out at the Ghazipur landfill site in Delhi on Sunday evening continued in the night. Efforts were underway to douse the fire.
"The fire broke out in the ground of the under-construction building of the Central Secretariat, where an iron container and wood and some chemical items were kept. At present, the fire has been brought under control," said DFS officials.
Delhi Police on Monday filed an FIR into the death of a man, who fell into a borewell at a sewage treatment plant of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) in the Keshopur area of the national capital.
According to Delhi Fire Services Department officials, the vehicle was moving when it caught fire near Andhra Bhavan at around 9 pm. However, the driver managed to escape on time.
