One person sustained severe burn injury in a fire that broke out on Wednesday early morning in a parking lot opposite the Trans Residency building in Andheri East.
Several wholesale and retail vegetable shops were gutted in the fire. Four fire tenders have rushed to the spot and efforts are on to douse the fire, fire officials said.
"The fire broke out in the Kashmere Gate area. Among the auto spare parts materials, the plastic and rubber items caught fire," Delhi Fire Service Assistant Divisional Officer (ADO) Sumit Kumar said, speaking to ANI in the early hours of Tuesday.
"We got the information about the fire at 3:15 am...fire is almost under control and doused soon...it is being said that a loss of around Rs 30-40 lakhs has happened," said Mahesh Pratap, Fire Officer, Hardoi.
