According to the Delhi Fire Services Department, the fire incident was reported at around 3.30 pm. Locals noticed the flames and immediately raised an alarm.
According to officials, one of the sheds made with paddy straw caught fire, reportedly due to an electrical short circuit, around 3 pm. The fire spread rapidly and soon became uncontrollable.
"We reached the spot immediately and started operating to control the fire. Within half an hour, we will control the fire. No casualty has been reported," Fire officer Pardeep Kumar said.
