Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ganpat Gaikwad accused of shooting at Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde faction leader Mahesh Gaikwad was sent to police custody till February 14 by a Magistrate court on Saturday.
The Ulhasnagar Magistrate Court on Saturday granted police custody to accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ganpat Gaikwad in the Ulhasnagar firing case until February 14.

"We arrested the plant manager last night and he admitted that around 85 people were inside the building (at the time of the incident). One woman died, 30 people are in the hospital and 13 were missing, of whom four have been found. So only nine people are missing now and operations to trace
"The fire seems to be under control now. The NDRF team is externally examining the building and after that, it will examine the building internally. After this, the forensic science team will go inside and collect the evidence," the DGP said.
After a BJP MLA opened fire at Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) faction MLA in a police station, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) spokesperson Clyde Crasto said that that the times ahead in Maharashtra are going to be very terrible.
A fire broke out at a chemical factory in Solan, in which one woman lost her life, while 31 people were reported injured and nine went missing. Fire extinguishing operations at a cosmetic factory in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district are currently underway.
According to the information received from the police, Ganpat Gaikwad reached the Hill Line police station along with his worker between 9:30 and 9:45 pm on Friday, to file a complaint in connection with a land dispute.
