"At about 11 AM today, Pak troops opened small arms fire on own post across LC in Poonch Sect. The fire was retaliated appropriately by Indian Army. No casualties on to own side," said Army officials.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Harsh Poddar stated that a police team was quickly dispatched to the location after receiving the information about the incident.
The fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installations in the common meter box and electric wiring in the common passage on the ground floor plus upper 11 floored high-rise building.
The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northern Railway, Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, said that there was no stampede at New Delhi Railway Station.
A fire broke out at Freemasons Hall in the Fort area of Mumbai. Firefighting operations are underway, with four fire tenders deployed at the spot to contain the blaze.
Mukesh Chaudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police, East Kutch, said, "We received information about the fire incident from the Gandhidham city of Kutch. Upon receiving the news about the blaze, we dispatched a team of fire tenders and a police team for dousing operations."
