US President Donald Trump signed a bill ordering the Justice Department to release all Jeffrey Epstein-related files. He criticised Democrats over Epstein's past ties, while Congress passed the measure with near-unanimous support. It remains unclear how or when the files will be released.
With the Senate's approval, no further action is needed in the chamber. The bill will now be sent directly to President Donald Trump for his signature to become law.
The legislation, which has garnered support from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers, seeks to provide full transparency for the public and justice for Epstein's abuse survivors.
In a long statement on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said Republicans "have nothing to hide" and should move ahead with the vote expected this week.
In a post on his Truth Social platform late on Friday, Trump said, "I am withdrawing my support and endorsement of 'Congresswoman' Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the great state of Georgia."
In the chargesheet, filed before the special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in Bengaluru, the agency has also named Shree Mallikarjun Shipping Pvt Ltd.
