India grouped in Pool B along with England, New Zealand and China will begin their campaign on July 3 against nemesis England, to whom they lost the Bronze Medal in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Vice-Captain Deep Grace Ekka (31'), Navneet Kaur (32'), Sonika (40') and Vandana Katariya (50') contributed a goal each in India's win, while Danielle Grega (28') and Natalie Konerth (45') were the goalscorers for the USA.
The Indian team led by Savita registered a 2-2 (2-1 SO) shootout win and a narrow 2-3 loss in their previous Pro League matches against the current Champions Argentina on weekend.
