Afghanistan universities are ready to readmit female students once again but are awaiting for Taliban's decision on when it can happen or whether it happens or not, Khaama Press reported citing education officials.
The first set of university exams were held in 11 of the 34 provinces in Afghanistan without any female students in attendance on Thursday, TOLOnews reported.
The National Examination Authority of Afghanistan (NEXA) said that according to the letter by the Ministry of Higher Education, only male students can attend the university entrance examination this year, reported TOLO News.
