As the farmers' protests continue, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Wednesday urged the government to take the demands of the farmers seriously and to consider them with empathy.
The early morning visuals showed that security checks were underway at the Shambhu border in Ambala, Haryana on the second day of the farmers' protest.
The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) condemned the Central Government for resorting to excessive use of state power which has unleashed lathi charges, rubber bullets, tear gas shells and mass arrests to prevent the Delhi Chalo March of farmers organisations on Tuesday.
