After the Union Budget 2024 was presented in Parliament on Tuesday, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that the budget would not benefit farmers on the ground.
"Union budget 2024 is an important step for the overall development of Chhattisgarh. Poor families of Chhattisgarh will get food security. Farmers of Chhattisgarh will get financial security and necessary resources. This budget is an important step towards empowerment of women," CM Dai said

"Farmers' fertilisers and seeds should be made cheaper, and inflation should be stopped. The costs of petrol and diesel are high and farmers don't even get electricity. Rs 26,000 crore allotted to Bihar is a 'jhunjhuna," said the RJD leader.
