India's initiative in developing a group standard for whole millet grains recieved global recognition during the 88th Executive Committee meeting of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CCEXEC88) held at the FAO Headquarters in Rome from 14-18 July 2025.
The Executive Committee supports in the management of the Commission's programme of standards development by conducting a "critical review" of proposals to undertake work and monitors the progress of standards development.
Around 2000 participants from over 160 countries, including over 20 Heads of State and Government, will attend the UN Food Systems Summit+2 Stocktaking Moment (UNFSS+2) at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) headquarters in Rome on July 24-26.
