Senior Advocate Dayan Krishnan and Special Public Prosecutor for NIA, Advocate Narender Mann, arrived at Patiala House Court in Delhi ahead of Tahawwur Rana's appearance before the court.
Rana was being held in judicial custody in the US pursuant to proceedings initiated under the India-US Extradition Treaty for his extradition. The extradition finally came through after Rana exhausted all legal avenues to stay the move.

Speaking to the media, the senior Advocate said "This is a completely legal procedure. It is important to see what case is filed against him. I will not talk about it now. I will talk about it after the entire process is over."
K Unnikrishnan, the father of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the National Security Guard commando killed while fighting terrorists during the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai, said the extradition of 26/11 Mumbai attacks accused Tahawwur Rana is India's "diplomatic success."
