Delhi's Saket Court on Thursday granted 10 days of custody of Lawrence Bishnoi to the Delhi police crime branch in an extortion case. This matter pertains to extortion calls to an advocate in the South East Delhi area.
Delhi's Rohini Court granted bail to a gangster, who is accused of making an extortion call to a restaurant owner from inside the jail where he was lodged.
Expressing their displeasure through the Twitter hashtag #StopChineseIllegalMining, the protesters stated that Chinese miners have made themselves lords of the Nigerian natural resources which belong to the people and government.
The accused, identified as Nagercoil Kasi, allegedly blackmailed more than 100 women, including a female doctor, by threatening them to upload their pornographic photos on the internet and extorting lakhs of rupees from them.
"Delhi Crime Branch busts three extortion modules of Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A total of 8 people have been apprehended and 6 weapons recovered. Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi gang members are using juveniles for extortion," said the Delhi police.
