India is constantly in touch with Russian authorities to have Indian nationals released and discharged as early as possible, Randhir Jaiswal said on Thursday.
Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, "Our position on the matter has been made very clear on Arunachal Pradesh time and again. We have recently also issued statements in this regard. I think a couple of statements."
Randhir Jaiswal stated that the two leaders will also hold talks on issues related to bilateral ties and review the intergovernmental commission that was held earlier.
India and Malaysia discussed working towards better market access to each other, increasing scale of investment, air connectivity, tourism and mobility regime, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Wednesday.
Highlighting India's efforts to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that India has had the opportunity to talk to Moscow "very frankly and bluntly" on the issue.
Dinkar Asthana, who is currently serving as the Indian Ambassador to Senegal, has been concurrently accredited as High Commissioner to Gambia, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a press release.
EAM Jaishankar noted that he benefited greatly from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's guidance and insights on regional developments during their interaction.
"In diplomacy, states are expected to be respectful of the sovereignty and internal affairs of others. This responsibility is even more so in case of fellow democracies. It could otherwise end up setting unhealthy precedents," the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement today.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited Indian Coast Guard Ship Samudra Paheredar on Tuesday during its port call to Manila, and said that India's Act East policy and Indo-Pacific vision will continue to give it a more contemporary form.
Earlier in the day, EAM Jaishankar, who is on an official visit to Manila, held a 'warm and productive' meeting with Philippines Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Enrique Manalo and discussed wide-ranging issues of security and maritime cooperation.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on global, regional, and multilateral issues, including Indo-Pacific, ASEAN, West Asia, and global and regional issues.
