"An IAF C-130J takes off from Port Sudan with 135 passengers for Jeddah. This marks the 12th batch of stranded Indians evacuated under #OperationKaveri," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted.
In order to support the repatriation efforts under Operation Kaveri of the Indian government, IndiGo will operate chartered evacuation flights on April 28 and 30 from Jeddah to Delhi and Bengaluru respectively.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on Thursday received stranded Indians from Port Sudan at Jeddah under Operation Kaveri, an operation India launched to evacuate its citizens from battle-torn Sudan.
Vinay Mohan Kwatra said that the Indian government and embassy's focus has been to advise stranded Indian nationals to remain safe and help them move to secure locations whenever feasible.
