Ministry of Labour and Employment on Thursday issued a notification, stating that the Employees' State Insurance (ESI) scheme is extended to beneficiaries in 610 districts across the country.
Nearly 19 lakh new workers were added under the Employees' State Insurance Scheme (ESI Scheme) in the month of November last year, according to the data released by Press Information Bureau on Friday.
Taking a compassionate view, the Delhi High Court on Friday directed the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) to provide cancer treatment to the father of an employee. The treatment was earlier stopped due to an increase in the salary of the employee insured with the ESIC.
