As Balochistan continues to face a dire situation with enforced disappearances, 18 individuals were reported missing in the last weeks of July this year, with five dead bodies found, The Balochistan Post stated in its bi-weekly report.
In her statement, the Baloch leader highlighted that during the last two decades, in the name of counter-insurgency operations and peace, a large number of people have been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces.
The ongoing sit-in protests organised by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearance in Balochistan have crossed over 12 years, The Balochistan Post reported.
Grave human rights violations continued unabated, including enforced disappearances, torture, crackdowns on peaceful protests, attacks against journalists and violence against religious minorities and other marginalised groups in Pakistan, reported Amnesty International South Asia.
