People in Afghanistan continue to suffer under the Taliban leadership as the atrocities are persistent and two-thirds of Afghan households are in severe crisis unable to afford basic food and non-food requirements, Khaama Press reported citing a World Bank Survey on Wednesday.
In line with the Centre's thrust for employment under the Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed around 71,000 appointment letters to the newly recruited recruits earlier in the day.
During the review meeting, it is said that the process has been started to fill the vacant government posts in the state. These posts will be filled by August 2023. The work has been done at a high pace in November. A necessary process is being followed to fill up around 60,000 posts.
Earlier on Tuesday, PM Modi distributed 71,056 appointment letters to recruits via video conferencing, saying the Rozgar Mela goes to show the Centre's commitment to providing government jobs to the youth.
Addressing the event, PM Modi said that schemes like 'Make in India' or 'Vocal for Local' are creating employment and self-employment opportunities in the country.
